Today is the Public Transport day in Dubai, UAE. This time it will be celebrated over a week.

RTA, The Road & Traffic Public Transport Agency in Dubai has organised many events & they will be giving away prizes with a combined value of AED 1 Million (272,000 US$)

The authorities encourage the public to leave their cars & use public transport. This will help reduce carbon emissions & pollution. Many high profile Govt. Employees use public transport & motivate the public to do so.

They will organize blood donation camps also. If a person donates blood today, they will gift a pair of sunglasses worth AED 1,000 (US$ 272).

In 10 days time Dubai Tram will commence its services. This will help to use integrated public transport by the Public.
