Only in clean environment, resides sound health and positive thinking. If every one of us makes surrounding clean, we have clean environment all over world. Cleanliness is the path to greener environment and better tomorrow. And also, we should not expect other to come and work for us. We have to do by our own effort. In fact we set ourselves as example such that others take us as role model and follow the path of our good deeds.

Keeping all these in mind, cleanliness program was conducted in our locality. In the program, there were mainly youths including myself, elders and mostly women. It?s good to see the increase in the participation of women in such community oriented programs.

We started our program by clearing the weeds and unnecessary plants that were invading road and disturbing the structure. We then cleaned our roads, collected dust, bottles, papers, plastics and other wastes. Municipality also helped us by providing tractor to collect such wastes and guaranteed us their disposal.

It was joyous moment for me to get to work with my community and neighbor. In fact I was able to befriend some new comers of our locality and interact with them nicely. Utilizing the event, I informally informed youths about Tunza Eco-generation Platform. They seemed eager to know more our eco-generation platform.

I personally enjoyed the program a lot. It was great joint program to gather and work together with our community when the festive season has knocked our door.
