Others included the field trip to Kuala Sepang in Selangor. Mangrove plantings and beach cleaning were amongst the most exciting and informative activities done since most of the participants never experienced it. The biodiversity of the flora and fauna, and the mangrove preservation activities by Malaysia Nature Society (MNS) were truly amazing. However, the enormous deterioration and destruction of mangrove forest in this area due to human activities and pollution is equally a cause for concern. Apart from this, participants learned the steps in water monitoring technique by using simple apparatus. On the final day of the program, the participants presented their individual action plan to a panel of judges comprising of members representing the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) board and DENSO Malaysia Management. It was the moment for all participants to propose their environmental project and vision. Their ideas ranged from environmental education, recycling activities, promotion through social networking, trees and mangrove planting, emission reduction and beach cleaning.
