UN Climate Summit 2014

Climate change is not a far-off problem. It is happening now and is having very real consequences on people?s lives. Climate change is disrupting national economies, costing us dearly today and even more tomorrow.  But there is a growing recognition that affordable, scalable solutions are available now that will enable us all to leapfrog to cleaner, more resilient economies.

There is a sense that change is in the air. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has invited world leaders, from government, finance, business, and civil society to Climate Summit 2014 this 23 September to galvanise and catalyse climate action.

Climate Week NYC, which runs from September 22-28, is the collaborative space for all related events in support of the UN Secretary Generals Climate Summit.

2014 is the sixth annual Climate Week NYC. It is a key international forum for governments, businesses and civil society to drive low carbon leadership through a busy week of high-profile events, business panels and public-facing activities happening in and around New York City.

The UN Secretary-General is calling for commitments for action from the private sector in advance of the Climate Summit. Commitments to action can take many forms to leverage the unique strengths and characteristics of each actor.

So Do Your BIT Everyday :)
