FREELY NOT FREE [Poem]

by | 30-08-2014 22:58

Right from birth
The creation of man
The existence of humanity
Is the breath, the freshness thereof

Cool and chill
From the valleys and from the hill
Comes the air that we treasure
In it's amazing invisible beauty and pressure

Freely not free
For every single on down, viz tree
The air we treasure is getting done
The beauty of life, gone

Freely given to us
For the price of maintainance
Up to us to care for
Freely not free

We spill the oil
We release the gas, green
But we forget, that the air
Is freely, not free

We hardly maintain
We always destroy
What was freely given to us
Freely given, but not freely unfree

Plant the trees
conserve the fresh breeze
We must conserve
That which is freely given

Freely given, freely not free.
