by Lhamu dolma Sherpa | 24-01-2023 23:26

The rate of plastic production is increasing due to its being lightweight and easy to use. Due to the improper disposal of plastic in our landfills, and water it has become a major challenge, Globally. To reduce pollution we need to focus on the solution. There are many recycling technologies and decomposition methods for plastic among them  Chemical Recycling of waste plastic is best because it recycles larger amounts of plastic than other recycling. One recent study shows that chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste emits less CO2 than incineration of the same waste.

Some benefits of chemical recycling are as follows

Chemical recycling can recycle contaminated and waste plastics that are unsuitable for other recycling technologies.

Chemical recycling enables plastic waste to decompose and be transformed into new plastics which can be used for other applications.

The emissions brought by energy recovery and incineration can be eliminated by chemical recycling.

Chemical recycling encourages the reduction of plastic waste and shifting away from landfilling.

Chemical recycling is not a permanent solution for plastic waste we need to focus decrease in production and other alternatives
