 Nepal  is an agricultural country where more than 75% people have dependency on agriculture. Nation's development seems impossible without the revolution on agriculture, though, the agriculture profession is considered to be low class profession in the society. Beside this, there is a challenge for government of Nepal to reduce the muscle and brain drain from the country by employing the youths in country  itself.

With the vision of nation's sustainable development , Government of Nepal has taken many initiative to encourage farmers in sustainable farming. Recently, Nepal Government declared  to award the best farmers annually from district, regional and national level with "President topmost farmers award" from coming year. Those innovative and best farmers will be awarded with some money and certificate by the President of Nepal. The award will be provided on different sector like cereal farming, oilseed farming, olericulture, floriculture, spicy crop farming , livestock farming, etc. This initiative is supposed to encourage and motivate farmers for continuation of their profession with the feeling of respect on society and other youths to use their mental and physical labor in country itself.

Such type of initiative are really of great need in the developing country like Nepal for a sustainable development of the country .
