[November Free Report] The First Youth Environmental and Climate Change Seminar for the Iranian Youth

by Risav Ganguly | 19-01-2023 01:28

November 10 is recognised as the World Science Day for Peace and Development. I was humbled and honoured to be invited by the Regional Ambassador to Iran at the United Nations Environment Programme-Tunza Eco-Generation, Seyedmohammadmahan Mir Nasiri, to address one of the First Environment and Climate Change Awareness Seminar for the Iranian Youth on this auspicious day.

Seyedmohammadmahan¡¯s Statement:

¡°The first session of the environmental and climate change awareness meeting for Iranian youth was held on November the 10th. It was also on the occasion of World Science Day for Peace and Development

This meeting hosted more than two honorary speakers from India as well as several Iranian guest speakers who spoke to the youth about environmental goals and the importance of protecting them. They turned out super inspiring!

As the coordinator and organizer of this meeting, I am very proud to announce that the number of Iranian participants in this meeting reached more than 87 people, and this was really shocking.

We had hoped to be able to hold this meeting in person, but due to issues related to covid-19, it was not possible.

It is also better to know that the international and Iranian speakers were invited with a magnificent and official invitation, and in the end, their impressive presence was appreciated by sending a letter of appreciation.

Also, the young people participating in this event were encouraged by receiving valid certificates of attendance.

This online meeting lasted for more than two hours, which included an online speech broadcast and an online presentation.

I also appreciate the valuable cooperation of the Tunza organization and dear mentors through this report.

One of the goals of holding this meeting was to help increase the cooperation and awareness of the youth in the field of climate change at the national and international levels.

Wishing for similar events.¡±
