Human Heat Powered Flashlight

by | 09-06-2014 23:25

Me and my group has joined a project which was actuall about science and wanted to do something which really matters for all human beings an also envşronment .Thus searched for a big Project and that was what we found. We thought it will be a bit challange because come on how we could do a flashlight which Works by heat of my hand_ That was insane! Then we learnt that this Project was a girl?s called Ann who is just 15 (even younger than us) and lives in Canada. And wanted to leanr more about it and got that she wanted to do something for her friend called Maria who lives in Phillippians whe she failed bause of not having any access to electricity however she was intelligence. Ann determined to change it and she did. So as a group we impreesed her action and wanted to support that so we said : ?Why not? If she did, we can too.Lets do it for whole world wild.?We as a group wanted to do something which really matters. Thus searched for a big Project and that was what we found. We thought it will be a bit challange because come on how we could do a flashlight which Works by heat of my hand_ That was insane! We rathered to do it in a environmental friendly way. We insipired by Ann Makosinski who is just 15 and lives in Canada and decided to make a human heat powered flashlight.

We are described as 100 watt walking light bulbs thus we have so much energy under our body however we are not using them for good.
All we needed was ??peltier tiles?? If one of your hand is the tile, and you hit one side of this tile a small electric charge is produced. You have to heat one side of this tile with candle and cool the other side with computer sinks or something just to see how to get an energy.

Now we got the next level: we kept one side of the tiles with the palm of our hands just the human heat and cool the other side with the ambient air this allowed for maximum air convenction currents to flow through and around the issue and cool it even further to provide the light.

We as Ann did, would prefered to use White LED?s also known as light-emitting diodes yet they only start conducting once a certain voltage is produced .This means the light wouldnt start lighting up until third manpower be entered into them and this was around 2500 millivolt and we were getting around 50 millivolt. So we read more about her and how she managed to do that and there we learnt that we have to work with prototype then we got it!
It Works no matter what and when but keep in mind that the greater temperature differential between your hand and the surrounding area, the more power will be produced
I encourage all of you to try this torch to sopport this environmental friendly( there is no batery no energy nothing) and also great project for all people just like Ann's friend.
