The  word “Green” is not just a mere word; it is a word with an extended and hidden meaning in whatsoever context. To introduce you to the concept “green”, you cannot imagine how a green line propagation of the oxygen means a lot for personal probability of life. Moreover, I don’t know what it tells you when the green color outshines the red one in the traffic lights. However, it grants you insurmountable permission to go ahead your journey and saves you a huge amount of time for doing various activities. That is the word green, which we concatenate with the word “building” to bring to life the idea and concept of a well known and fought for “Green Building.”

So when I hear of the word green building, I don’t comprehend it as just a construction but as a condominium, which promotes life of plants and people in general. For example, if a building is painted green and contains an emitter inside it, I don’t think that’s what we call a green building. Therefore, it is clear that the concept “Green” from green buildings does not stand for green as color but for life. To generate more understanding regarding the context, let’s jump to the building retrofitting. This is the  way in which plants, like flowers, trees, are planted on the floor of a certain building to capture contaminated air that may be circulating around the houses and provide a better aeration so as to obtain good life.

In addition, as I have seen in Rwanda or somewhere else in the movies, green buildings are not only a single troy on which plants are cultivated on every floor, but it can even be the campus at wide. So, this is somewhat common in Rwanda Because whether it is a house or a campus, it is advised to surround it with trees in order to make that particular building green and help to tackle the issue of environmental degradation, thereby purifying air in the atmosphere. That being said, universities in the country are built in forested areas, if I can say so, and I think that’s a perfect example of a green building though it may be colored otherwise.

From fostering and running green projects, I mean green buildings advocacy, there are multiple benefits we acquire. The apparent one is an attractive view of the building that captures the attention of multitudes that help in earning a lot of money for businesses and the tourism sector through frequent visits to the house or area, which is regarded as green building.This is more critical for bars and restaurants. Also, green buildings are homes for almost uncountable species of the kingdom animalia, in which we, human beings belong; it is a habitat for birds, insects, people and other animals that are not harmful to human beings. The most captivating importance of the green building is that it captures carbon and other contaminated air. This is so paramount because nations, rich and poor, big and small, collaborate on investing in heavy projects which may ease the problem of climate change, and through the green buildings, every household may be playing its role.

As of now, we’re all aware of the concept of green building, adding that it does not consume a large plot of land. The fact is, no matter how big your house should be (or is), it may be a green building and expose you to mega benefits as we have discussed above. So, it's our time to give life to our renowned homes and cities by making them green. The flow is mine, The flow is yours to take green building from just a phrase to an illustration. The concept is so huge, but time and words will never be fair for us to discuss positive businesses.
