It was Monday evening while I was surfing Eco-generation site and reading about land pollution on other tab, my little niece came and sat near  me to see what I'm doing. She took one of tunza's leaflet from the table and started asking about environment. Suddenly she asked one question. It was about land pollution. Her question was as below-

It's possible to control land pollution?

My answer to the question was Yes.

Then she asked that it's possible to restore the soil fertility when the whole land is covered from the waste material?

I answered- Yes, but it may takes many of years.

She replied in furor sound : Then why we are so obligate? Why our society polluting our environment so badly?

I was speechless. Indeed it was really tough question to respond . I answered : We are not obligate, we can do anything is we wish to do.

She replied: Last week she had a chance to visit amusement park and which was 90 kilometers far from her Grandma's House. During the journey time to park she saw so many land areas are covered from so many waste. She asked me that why we waste so much and then throwing it on open land. It's easy for us to throwing our waste on open land and but is it really easy for our mother earth to decompose all types of waste material. Why are we so careless?

Again I was speechless. But I was so happy to see a aware citizen like my niece. I was so happy to have a another aware person in my family.

I answered to the question : All peoples are not careless. Many aware citizens like you are not throwing waste on open land. There is so many peoples who are working for a better tomorrow. We are not alone for this cause. The days are not so far where environment does not need any protection. Afterwards I introduced her about Tunza Eco Generation and  then we also had a half an hour Eco Generation School Class. Where I told her about climate change. For appreciation I gave her little souvenirs from tunza. She was so happy to see Eco Note and Pencil set. At last she also pledge to switch off lights and fans while going out of the room.

Youth and children have the fire to bring change and we can do wonders if everyone tries, step by step so that environment can be salvaged. All of us are on the same ship(earth) which is going to sink if we don't act now. So lets act and advocate for the world where environment does not need protection.
