Hello?

Today, I would like to introduce you to a game called 'Treeplanet'

'Treeplanet' is an application that can be downloaded and utilized in smartphones. You can also play this game through the web.

1. How to play this game

To start off, download the game. Your mission is to take care of a baby tree. You are given an animated tree, and must give water, nutrients, sunlight, etc.. to keep it happy.

Sometimes, there are small missions that you must accomplish. There are people who want to cut down trees and destroy the forest. When they appear, you must click them in order to push them away.

After a lot of stages,, your tree will be fully grown. You will be asked to choose a specific country or area. The game data will be sent to Treeplanet, NGO, and processed. Treeplanet will plant a tree in that exact location.

 2. Why Trees?

Of course, trees provide us with a lot of things. They purify polluted air and rainwater. But that's not all. For developing countries, fruits that come from trees can produce a lot of income. Naturally, the residents of the area will stop starving. Around the world, the niche of millions of species are located in or around forests.

 3. Celebrity Forests

A lot of people are fond of the game 'Treeplanet', here in South Korea.. Still, the company has some new ideas for their project.

Nowadays, people can choose where they are going to send their trees - not only in country units - but 'celebrity forest' units.

Celebrity forests are forest named after certain celebrities who either sponsor, support, or take a part in the project. If someone has a certain celebrity that they adulate.. he or she will be motivated to play the game and plant more trees for the environment

In China and Mongol, desertification is rapidly taking place. If more trees are planted, these trees will be deeply rooted to the ground and stop the soil in the area from blowing away. This will also decrease the agricultural harms done by sandstorns.

This is why Treeplanet believes that "The ideal method to face these challenges is to plant trees."

Do you agree?
