![]() ![]() I remember since I was young they have taught me to see animals in the circus as something fun, because the circus is one of the city?s most ?visited? ?family entertainment? (although in the past rallies of this the inflow people is less than 50%). I was taught to clap and laugh when they engage in activities that are unnatural, like jumping through hoops on fire, see elephants standing on one leg, etc. In my mind there is a recurring image, a smiling elephant on a ball, I also remember that as a kid I attended these places and enjoyed what they had taught me that it was socially fun. However years have passed and I think having studied my career (biology) has helped me understand many things: The animals are poached from the wild, are kidnapped and unfortunately for them, any of their family members can pay a ransom for them to return home and what is even more sad, infuriating and powerless is that many of them die when they are captured and many others die in relocation mismanagement or disease. The animals are underfed, I have had to see the animals when they are fed in the circus, the meat given to them has been for a long period under the sun, not careful and meat sometimes falls into the mud, with mud caused the urine and feces of animals, and are not cleaned for consumption, while it is true when they consumed in their habitat might not be completely clean but what It's true is that it isn't soiled with urine or feces. That in its natural habitat the "menu" is varied and in the circus comes down to chicken, beef and pork, that type of production is full of hormones that can alter their health as well as us. That the wild animals are accustomed to travel several square kilometers in the circus are confined to very small cages of 4 * 5m. The list goes on and do not forget the traffic of species. One of the arguments of the defenders of circus is: Thanks of circus species conservation is promoted, but I wonder where is the conservation of species? When the specimens are removed from their habitat, or come from transactions such as buying and selling illicit just like a few days it was accept in Morelia Zoo or that promote environmental education does, but where is the environmental education? When animals are forced to perform unnatural activities not to mention the promotion of violence as the way these animals are trained. Anyway, I wanted to argue points on favor for the circus, but the truth is I didn?t found them the choice is yours in the end, what will you decide? CIRCUS WITHOUT ANIMALS |
