Dhaka city experienced the highest temperature on April 24 in last 54 years. The temperature recorded on the capital city that day was 40.7 degree Celsius. The previous highest temperature was recorded 42.3 degree on April 30, 1960. On April 24 country's highest temperature was recorded 42.4 degree in Jessore. That day country met the highest temperature in last 14 years. Climate change experts consider this extreme weather to be a result of changing patterns in world climate. This type of abnormal behavior of weather is an indication of changing pattern of climate. And i believe we are very responsible for this change. This is not all about rising temperature but it also affect many other activities. For instances heat related illness is attacking people and a large no of affected people are getting admitted in the hospital. Chief physician of International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh said that a record no of patient got admitted and among them 60% of them are infants suffering from water-borne diseases. Unplanned high-rise concrete building structure store the heat. Overuse of air conditioners, high traffic emissions are causing the capital's temperatures to be all the more scorching. Less no of tree plantation also causes high temperature. I reported that Bangladesh is the most vulnerable due to global warming. Govt and other environmental organizations should take preventive activities to fight global warming here in Bangladesh. To reduce heat trees can be planted. Actually trees are planted in Bangladesh but not the no required that can lessened the extra heat produce by overall global warming. |
