     Did You know 5 types of lorises in the world there are 3 types from Indonesia, namely: Java loris (Nycticebus javanicus), Sumatran loris (Nycticebus coucang) and Borneo loris (Nycticebus Menagensis). Not unusually rich biodiversity for slow loris genus, but the threat of exploitation is actually highest for trading. Lisa Milella BVSc DipEVDC MRCVS is a special dentist wildlife from UK to help the IAR Indonesia Foundation for doing dental fillings (refilling) on 20 individual Java loris (Nycticebus javanicus) and Sumatran loris (Nycticebus coucang) and also pull teeth that have become infected. Handling the teeth of lorises have been conducted since 2012 that the given problem is the loris gear exploitation, hunters and traders who pull out the teeth without healthy procedure. There are still many people who do the exploitation of lorises, the education campaign from members of IAR Indonesia was carried out. This activity was done in Sekolah Citra Alam, Ciganjur, South Jakarta. This Awareness Campaign was done through education to the public and children that was an important thing to do. In the campaign, it conducted various competitions, one of those competition is taking care of the lorises with good treatment. The winner of the competition will be awarded with loris trophy. The trophy is not just an ordinary trophy. The trophy is a hand made from their creative creations. The loris trophy utilizes old newspapers to make it. Old newspapers are formed in such a way that resembles a slow loris. After that it was painting by them. If I have to tell you what ever I do that time... it will take a lot of time ... aaa I hope we did those together! |
