After months of toiling work, my school team which I am part of won the Sharjah Sustainability Awards in The Outstanding Environmental Team Category on 27th, February, 2014. 

We were given certificates, a memento and a cash prize. We were

overwhelmed with joy when our names were called on stage. We were five members Myself, Swagat, Ashwin, Aditya and Navaneeth. 

It was a proud moment as we were the first team to ever win the award from our school. We celebrated the joyous moment in our school by giving an Indian sweet Ladoo to all the teachers. Our theme was, 'Save water, Grieve later'

Our motive was to spread  awareness of the importance of reducing water consumption amongst all members of the school. We hosted a variety of activities including Assemblies, street plays, spreading awareness among support staff (bus conductors, drivers etc.) , building campaigns and other events. We even went to each class and talked about the importance of water.

We went to one the leading malls in the country and organized a event. We visited building in the locality and talked to it's residents.

We also used Social Networking sites to spread awareness. We have a in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google +. We currently have more than 350 likes in our Facebook page. We also organised a photography competition in Facebook about water and the winner was given a MP4.

All our hardwork bore fruit when we won the award. It was our team spirit that helped us achieve this great success.
