In the first week of February, I and my team members went to a lane next to my school. The road was very narrow and uneven. There was garbage all over. The stray dogs were searching for something to eat out of the garbage. The foul smell was reaching our noses, making us feel uncomfortable. There were very few plants and trees in that lane. Our team chalked out a plan with the local residents to overcome the sanitation troubles. The plan largely comprises of spreading awareness in the common people, particularly the likes of the above mentioned vendor and their customers. The children, as the forerunners of the awareness programs, were given a special orientation session. This drive proved to be successful and opened scopes for further projects and actions. |
