Ah, vacation! The final exam is upcoming, yet already I can't wait for the vacation time. It is the one time of year to relax, unwind, and decompress from the accumulated pressures of daily life. It's also the best opportunity to recharge spiritual batteries and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

This time I promise to myself to keep being a green traveler as a choice for my next vacation. I would persuade my classmates to go for vacations that will allow us to experience intimately the places we visit without polluting the environment. 

My dad, himself a green traveler, told me that a green traveler is anyone who opts for more meaningful, challenging, of one sort or another on their vacations, while practicing a certain sensitivity and responsibility to the environment and the local culture.

This time I may be looking forward to seeing wildlife up close, or to experiencing what it is really like as a native in another country, if only for a few days.

Or, may be I would like to try applying for an internship position in a marketing division of a travel agent company. I want to know more about key green issues for marketing. I want to learn how environmental concerns affect the practice of marketing. And then, with the green marketing concepts, I will approach as many people as I can, to join me to be enthusiastic green traveler! :-)
