Royal Bengal Tiger – Our Pride

by | 25-02-2014 00:15

Royal Bengal Tiger is our national animal, our pride. We use ?Tiger? word as a symbol of promptness and bravery. That?s why we have used ?Tiger? in official trade mark of our national cricket team. Tigers are seen in Asia and Africa.

Tiger, a beautiful, gorgeous beast in the whole world. In our country she lives in ?Sundarban? , the largest mangrove forest of the whole world. But now-a-days  they r decreasing in number.

In ?Sundarban? every tiger has its own area. Basically a tigers lives in its own area which is really big in size. Tigers takes deer, buffalos as food. But sometimes we see that it takes human as food.

We are seeing that the number of tigers is decreasing. From October 2005 to January 2007, the first camera-trap survey was conducted across six sites in the Bangladesh Sundarbans to estimate tiger population density. The average of these six sites provided an estimate of 3.7 tigers per 100 km2(39 sq mi). Since the Bangladesh Sundarbans is an area of 5,770 km2 (2,230 sq mi) it was inferred that the total tiger population comprised approximately 200 individuals .So we have to save the tigers.
