This week I organized an Environmental Awareness Lecture & Quiz using Tunza Eco-Generation platform. I used Tunza Eco-Generation promotion material to talk about environmental awareness & steps we can take in our day to life in order to limit the harm on environment we are causing by our small actions like, keeping the tap open while brushing, using bath tub instead of quick showers, throwing garbage without segregating, non-use of recyclable bags, excess use of plastic in daily life etc.

It is not that children are not aware, they are, but the fact of the matter is that they do not care. Regular lectures & awareness quizzes help, encourage & motivate them to act in a responsible manner. In a group when they compare themselves with others they tend to imitate the performing children. Thus the objective of environmental awareness is met in a better way.

This lecture was organized with about 20 enthusiastic children. All were excited to hear me speak about caring for environment & also I introduced to them Tunza Eco-Generation website & how Tunza is promoting environmental awareness the world over.

It was followed by an Environmental Quiz where they all answered the questions.

No quiz is complete without prizes, therefore I distributed prizes to the child providing the correct answers. All the prizes were Eco-friendly & of daily sustainable use.

On the whole the event was a big success & all the participants ended more educated & they all promised to take care of the environment individually in their day to day routine.

It is not a matter of an hour or a day or just an event.

We all MUST pledge to make this planet a sustainable place to live for generations to come in our day-to-day life.
