Currently, environmental activities in Vietnam are developing rapidly. Young people play an important role in that activities as activists, participants, volunteer and target group. Together with the fact that there are more and more environmental projects, there is a lack of network and collaboration in Vietnam among the projects and young people working in environmental issues.

The lack of network will lead to limitations in implementing projects and environmental activities. Understand that problem, we have the idea to launch a project of producing Network Magazine first time in Vietnam for Environmental projects and activists. By that way, environmental projects, organizations and young activist can enhance their network through that they can exchange ideas, share information, knowledge and other resource support each other. As the result, the quality and effectiveness of environmental projects in Vietnam will increase and provide more value for the community.

The direct beneficiaries of the project will be environmental organizations, clubs, activists, young volunteers... We called them "participant"

In the first year, we would like to have 50 participants involved and benefit from the project.

How to involved "Participants" into project:

Design the Project

- Before writing this proposal, we have contact to 20 "potential participants" to introduce about the general ideas, collect their feedbacks and contributed ideas.

- In next steps, we will contact to more "potential participants" and work closely with them during designing the structure of contents and design of the network magazine.

- Finalize the template of the network magazine, and have agreement with "potential participants" to turn them into "real participants". In this agreement, we clarify about their role, benefits and responsibilities in this project.

Implementation

"Participant" will also be the "contributer" and the "reader" of the network magazine

- Contributer: participant will provide their info about their activities, opinions, status of projects and ideas to Project team actively when they have new things, and also answer the e-mail from Project team to develop their info for the magazine.

- Reader: After Project team collects all info from Participants and edits, Participants will receive the network magazine full of information

Evaluation

- "Participant" has the main role in evaluating activities. Participant will answer about the effectiveness of the project through Evaluation form attached with the network magazine.

The team of students from Vietnam participating in SUSI (Study of US Institute) 2013 will be responsible for planning and management of project operation under the budget and sponsorship of this program.

It is probably that we will have the coordination with Vietnam Generation Network as this network also has a relevant plan for newsletter of network. Vietnam Green Generation Network will support the project in human resource, data resource.
