![]() ![]() I promoted ?Tunza Eco-Generation? concept on 18-Jan-14 by using the various promotion goods sent to me from Korea. I am the member of Gavle club under the patronage of Toastmasters International. In one of the meetings I was appointed as the Toastmaster of the Day (for 18-Jan-14). The meeting was attended by 23 members. I choose my topic as ?Go Green on Line off Line? The purpose of my topic was to discuss the environment, using three R?s-Reuse, Reduce and recycle in day to day life, Introduce Tunaza organization. I explained in detail about the functioning of Tunza, how to become member, how to contribute to sustainability of environment in daily life & contribute articles in Tunza. Then I described how Tunza honors the good achievers. I detailed them how they can contribute on line through ?Tunza? & Off line through practical efforts in saving the environment. In the meeting I asked every one present to describe one step taken to protect environment. It may be as small as using recyclable bin for disposing garbage etc. Tunza is a wonderful platform to showcase the practical efforts made by students and other members and present it to the world over. This concept was liked by all the members present in the meeting. I am sure they will make definite efforts in this direction. The meeting was attended by 3 other Tunza Ambassadors Namely Arushi Madan, Humaid Habeeb & Raunak Kapur. This was another practical benefit of joining Tunza that members get a chance to become ambassadors & they can go to Korea for Global Youth Eco-Leadership Summit like Arushi Madan. This was a great motivation to see so many achievers in one meeting. Later on the promotion goods were distributed to the members. The Eco-bag was gracefully handed over to our mentor Mrs. Sunita Nair who responded that she will use this bag to carry trophies henceforth. On the whole the meeting was a resounding success & we are very satisfied with the clear message given to members. I hope all will contribute positively to conserve & preserve environment. |
