My recycling contribution with EEG 2013

by | 20-01-2014 03:48

I am a firm believer of "Work more and talk less" philosophy and like to work at the grass root level. So, when we discuss about many burning issues regarding climate change, recycling, re-use etc, I strongly feel that we with our limited capabilities should do whatever we can o for the mother earth.

I am an active student member with Emirates Environment Group (EEG) since 2010 and participating with their recycling programme since then. I collect newspapers, glass, aluminum cans etc and send them to EEG on a regular basis for further recycling purpose.

In 2013, I have send almost 1 Ton of news papers and 20 kg of glass, 10 kg of aluminum cans etc, which have eventually saved more than 25 trees along with a savings of oil and energy. The contribution report from EEG is attached herewith.

I know that you all are very very concerned about protecting the environment same like me....So, request you all to start reusing whatever is possible and then think of recycling items whatever is possible.
