Permit To Kill A Rhino

by | 13-01-2014 04:08

In Namibia, Africa a permit to hunt a black rhino sold for $350,000 at an auction in Dallas with the funds earned to be used for protecting endangered animals.

The auction was held despite the protests from animal rights group.

The license allows the killing of a single rhino, with wildlife officials of Nambia.

The hunt will help in reducing the population of the rhinos and would provide funds for the govt. to protect the wildlife from poachers.

The permit was given because the males were higher in number and often kill younger ones.

Nearly 75,000 people signed an online petition to stop the sale.

The majority of Black Rhinos in the world are in South Africa followed by Nambia.
