Desember 7 2013, we have an ecopreneurship activity named Seminar on Biodiversity and Potency of Cocos nucifre L. on Ecopreneurship Development. Held at Saintek Teatrical, Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of Yogyakarta, this seminar attended by 40 students from any majors in my university.  This seminar was organized by BIOENTER (Biology for Enterprenurship).

BIOENTER is one of student organization in my university where I get study now, State Islamic University of Yogyakarta Indonesia. This organization focus on student development to learn and how to build an ecopreneurship. It has many activities like research on food biotechnology, seminar, study visit and many more.

In Seminar on Biodiversity and Potency of Cocos nucifre L. on Ecopreneurship Dvelopment, who?ve be a speaker is Prof. Dr. AH. Bambang Setiadji, M.Sc. He is an initiator and founder of Coco Power Indonesia. He was develop his business based on his research in Cocos nucifera L. (coconut).

Indonesia has a total of 3,712 hectares of coconut plantations and estates owned 96.6% of the people have not been processed optimumly. Because of that, Mr. Bambang started his business. 2004, he founded Coco Power Indonesia to support local people in Yogyakarat area through coconut processing. The resulting products include VGO (virgin coconut oil), briquettes, soap, lotion and also nata de coco. All of the products made from all parts of coconut fruit.  

What can we learn from Mr. Bambang three points. First, we can mengembangankan our business from the local potenty, without forgetting the local humans as well. Secondly, we can develop for the future energy from local potential. Third, we should be able to manage and use the natural resources optimally and wisely for human living.
