May be you already know the current political unrest situation in Bangladesh by means of news media. It is really the worst situation. There are lots of political violence all over the country. Its hard to stay safe. My events on Environment and Winter Cloth Distribution are postponed due to current situation. In the last report, i told to share the preventive ways to minimize air pollution in Dhaka city. Its not the same as other cities prevent air pollution. Dhaka is the 9th largest city in the world and one of the most densely populated cities. Dhaka is the fifth fastest growing mega-city in the world according to Forbes. Huge construction works takes place in the city right now. The main causes of air pollution in Dhaka city are construction, unfit cars, waste management etc. Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide enters the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels (oil, natural gas, and coal) used in the vehicle. Burning of solid waste, trees and wood products, and industrial emissions are causing air pollution here in Dhaka. The other major source of toxic gases in Dhaka is burning bricks in and around the city. To burn bricks in the open atmosphere with low quality coal having high sulfur content results in large amount of toxic gas production. City's waste is dumped at various open areas in the city. These wastes produce carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. Deforestation is also a major cause of air pollution. We all know trees can dissolve the carbon dioxide.
