The beautiful city-Pokhara by \| 30-12-2013 19:09
"If there is a paradise on Earth-its Pokhara", I saw these words on the wall of a motel while traveling to the city Pokhara. Kilometers away from the entrance gate of the city, one can witness the majestic Machhapuchre Himal (Fishtail Mountain) standing tall as if guiding you to the core of the city. As one enters the city, the clean air with the cool breeze coming from the lake sweeps away all the worries in the mind and reminds you only of the beauty that awaits you. In the city there are a number of caves like Mahendra cave, Gupteshwor cave and Chameru (Bat) cave that challenges a lot of adventure lovers to explore it. Similarly the Devi's fall is another eye popping site to watch. Daily thousands of tourists are seen moving in and out the city enjoying every aspects of the nature. The Seti river, the view of Fishtail mountain......enough to take your breathe away. Apart from those I was interested to know about the sanitary management of such a busy city and I was impressed. The people were conscious about the cleanliness and stopped anybody who littered the area. Further the dust bins were place at the busy places where there is more movements. One can say the beautiful city has molded itself close to the nature and which has turned a famous tourist destination throughout the world.
