 Vultures are regarded as one of the important bioindicators of environment pollution. Vulture help in environment cleanliness and management by feeding on the dead and decaying carcasses of almost all kinds. They have specialized body system i.e. intestine and digestive system that easily digest even the rotten fleshes of the animals rendering no any kind of harms to the vultures. In Nepal, some organizations like Jatayu Bird Conservation is working actively for the protection of the vultures. According to Basu Basnet, one of the working members of the Jatayu Bird Conservation mentioned the decreasing number of the vultures in an alarming rate in a program in my college, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. According to Mr. Basu Basnet, vultures are decreasing day by day due to use of harmful chemicals like diazinons that are used by sectors like medical, agriculture etc. Vultures also belong to our ecosystem and environment and it needs attention.
