"Trees for Cars" Leo Grand just launched a new Apple app called Trees for Cars. It took him four months to develop this app that can save our environment. This might not so amazing until you know that he did it while he is homeless in New York City. According to Business Insider: "Trees for Cars" is a mobile application that aims to save the environment by helping users carpool to their destinations, and Grand programmed the entire thing himself from the streets of Manhattan with just 16 weeks of coding lessons. It also provides information on how much CO2 the user is saving with each ride which further encourages environmental awareness, creating within the app a healthy competition amongst users to save the most CO2. I say this is totally amazing accoplishment for or by anyone. We need more smart and creative people like Leo Grand. We need to fight Climat Change from all levels of our society. He is truly inspiring to me and to all those advocating for better future for all of us around the world. I think we should help Leo Grand not be homeless and help his cause for better environment by encouraging our parents to buy his app at the Apple Store and the Play Store. I wonder if his app works here in Korea. If not, he should make app for Korea, China, India and many other countries. We need it. I think this shows that anyone with creative mind and willingness to work hard can come up with most wonderful solutions to many of our biggest global problems. Thus, I say to you Leo Grand on behalf of the world, thank you so much. |
