          Yesterday was a historic day. 11-12-13. I would NOT see this date ever again in my life , infact none of us. To make it special , EEG(Emirates Environmental Group) had organized a Clean Up UAE and Tree Plantation yesterday. I happily volunteered to go for it without any second thoughts. We started with Clean up activity at remote area called Ras Al Khaimah . It was saddening to see garbage like wires , plastic bottles , caps , cloth pieces , glass bottles etc all thrown carelessly there. It was nice to have my fellow Tunza Ambassador Rohan Kapur too in the event. Under this campaign , you are supposed to make a flyer , contact families in neighbourhood and collect at least 500kg paper within 2 weeks of your registration to this campaign. I collected and gave to EEG 1540 Kg papers/cartons/magazines under this campaign. 1 tree in one's name for every 500kg paper collected in 2weeks. It was such a nice experience planting tree by my name. I believe that trees are the LUNGS of EARTH so we should NEVER CUT TREES , rather we should plant more and more trees . Last year I could collect and give 575 kg paper so I was awarded only 1 tree. That time itself I had decided to be more active and contribute much more this year to get to plant more trees under my name. This year I pledge to do even more and take a target of at least 5 trees under this campaign for next year. Friends , lets encourage everyone around us to plant more and more trees , to collect old papers for reuse /recycle so that trees are saved(paper comes from trees).
