In a room where we friends, Uday, Suman, Bijay, Shankar, Binod, Kritesh, Ramesh, Sanjay and others have our usual discussions, the topic of today was, 'why should I work to protect the earth?'. There was a diversification in the thoughts, ideas and opinions everyone expressed. Everybody added some points and though it came in different sentences it meant the same,'working together to promote the Earth....'. Some thoughts that were expressed in the discussion I would like to share here

The term sustainable development denotes the effective exploitation of the natural resources to fulfill our needs and at the same time not compromising the ability of future generation to derive their needs. But in the present context there is an over exploitation and the principal thing is, we are not the only creatures in the Earth. May be we are so called supreme of all the living beings but that doesn't mean we can hinder the existence of other animals and plants in the earth.

The present situation forecasts that our mother earth is chained and is weeping with pain, crying to be helper, yelling to be helped..... Nothing in this world is valuable than the call of  the mother. The mother who gives us birth, feeds us and rears up, nobody should ignore her cry and should turn to get her chains off her and free her.

Conclusively, youth should be the frontiers in this change with the advice and directions of the elders and at the same time be an example to the children so  that tomorrow they can walk in the same path of protecting the EARTH.
