As I was retiring to my bed, a thought came to me

by | 07-12-2013 00:58

Its the end of the and I already had my dinner so now I am retiring to bed about to sleep. A thought is creeping in my mind and taking me back back to the ancient period- the time when there lived gods and goddess of different religions. We may be Hindu, Muslims, Christains or Buddhist, every religion has asked to live a life as close to the nature as possible. Being brought up in a Hindu community I have heard a lot of religious stories and I feel like then the people were closest to the nature or were in direct relation to the nature.Right here anyone can make an arguement that we are more developed or civilized. The answer are written in those stories too there were puspabiman (the aeroplane that flew without any fossil fuels) where the thoughts guided the steering. Similarly, lord ganesh rode on mouse, kumar on peacock, shiva on ox, parbati on tiger and so on. All this shows they were so much eco-friendly. Not the cars that burns fossil fuels and produces green house gases but carts pulled by horse. Another example is the war of today and then. They never used atom bombs, missiles or torpedo or any forms of pollution causing war items.

It may look an irrational relationship but its how I feel that even our religion speaks of preserving the nature and living a simple life close to it.
