Its the month of December (MangsirNepali) when the winter is rising to its full swing. Early in the morning as I wake up and sit on my study table I happen to see the environment outside my window its foggy morning and so is the cold deepening day after day. Fog is the term used to describe the condensed water vapor in a clouldlike mass lying close to the ground. If it contains water vapor there is actually possibility of harvesting the water from the fog. I have witnessed the remote areas of Nepal where people have to walk miles to reach the water sources which may not be pure all round the year. Also, the winter is a period of dryness in this region so the hardship further rises.  Photo:waterfortheages.org There are a numerous benefits of fog harvesting principally it will ease the life of the people and also is an environment friendly method of harvesting the water. So, it can be a good option against all the long canals drawn clearing the forests and changing the land-forms. Its time to THINK and ACT!!!
