![]() Recently, Serve The Heroes-An Initiative for Laborers got the prestigious opportunity to be part of the Emaar National day Parade for the 42nd National Day of the UAE on the 1st December. The crowd was agog with excitement as Serve the Heroes marched forward shouting out ?Serve The Heroes? throughout the length of the parade. This 2.4 Km parade started at the Parade Village. The event commenced at about 3 Pm and went on for 2 hours. It was a great experience and we were honored to be an asset to such a mammoth event held at this magnitude. The colourful dances, the astonishing floats, horses and the F1 lotus car were enough to make anyone?s jaw drop. Serve The Heroes? 40 members were walking and chanting in unison with their bright yellow T-shirts and red caps gleaming in the sun. The team members spanned from little kids to even supportive adults in the enthusiastic team of Serve The Heroes. The excitement built up for all the participants as they knew that they were going to be walking with 4000 teams while more than 20000 spectators were witnessing the feat! The colorful Pompoms, air horns and flags displayed by the Laborer-loving team were like icing on the cake. I am thankful to all my team members for making this parade a grand success. This time Serve The Heroes celebrated the Spirit of the Union in a very unique way, and were by far, successful in spreading awareness through word of mouth, that is the oft told message-Passing a small bottle of juice or Laban while they are toiling in the hot sun at the construction site with a smiling face, can certainly light up the faces of our dear Laborers. to the unsung heroes can make a big difference. In a nutshell, this Savoir-Faire of Serve The Heroes was something that one could never forget. Rohan Kapur
