![]() Global Zero is the international movement for the elimination of all nuclear weapons worldwide. Since its launch in Paris in December 2008, Global Zero has grown to include 300 leaders and nearly half a million citizens worldwide, developed a step-by-step plan to eliminate nuclear weapons, built an international student movement with 150 campus chapters in 20 countries, and produced an acclaimed documentary film, "Countdown to Zero." Political leaders around the world have endorsed Global Zero, with President Obama declaring, ?Global Zero will always have a partner in me and my administration.? Leading newspapers have backed Global Zero?s plan, the Financial Times concluding that, ?Global Zero?s plan has shown the direction to be traveled the world?s leaders must now start moving.? I'm the president of Global Zero NIT Jamshedpur Chapter. We are working every day to raise awareness among the society via debates, essay competitions, etc. Next month we would launch an international survey online to check the knowledge and views of people regarding the relevant issues in collaboration with various chapters across South Asia and Europe.
