This month has been a great month of learning for me. I have discovered more about the glaciers and my country on the whole. Glaciers are an integral part of our culture and identity in Canada. Apart from this, glaciers store large quantities of freshwater and provide this freshwater when people need in in the warm summer months through seasonal melting. However, climate change is causing melting of glaciers. This melting serves as our most startling proof of climate change. It will have severe consequences that will include rising sea levels and loss of freshwater stores. Ultimately, the melting glaciers will remove a part of our culture, heritage, and history. That is why climate change must be stopped. Next Month we will discover more, learn more, and hopefully do more to save our environment. Lets welcome December and reflect back as we move on from November...
