Year of the ¡° Save water ¡± campaigning organized national wide and involved around 2 million students of 6th, 7th. & 8 th grade across the country . During September and October 2013 in round 25,000 schools covered every district of India though painting contest for students , their parents & teachers were involved for ¡°save water ¡°campaigning The Central Ground Water Authority under Ministry of Water Resources in India, organizing such campaigns to involve children from school level to make habit from childhood for saving water. Availability of Water is the biggest issue world wide and our Indian government is also taking necessary steps to ensure availability of water for future generation. Currently I am studying in Christ Church Girls¡¯ school, Jabalpur, MP, India and in my school the contest was organized with full spirit. Our drawing teacher Dr. (Mrs.) Chatterjee had initiated for organized such contest in school. We are lucky get such qualified and supportive teacher like Dr. Chatterjee. Under her guidance every year a large number of students are bringing prizes from various contest local / state / national level. From our school top 3 drawings were sent to state level competition at Bhopal . On 30th. Oct¡¯13 from around 1500 nos. paintings, only 50 nos. students were called at Bhopal and I was one of them. More than 68,000 students had participated in school level in more 800 nos. school. On 18th. Nov¡¯13 , we, 50 students from diff. school of our state Madhay Pradesh, India had participated in State level contest . The photographs related to My painting and other few painting have been posted here. From their , best 3 students have been selected for national level contest at New Delhi on 27th. Dec¡¯13. My attached drawing was not selected under top three . However 3 student from diff. school were selected and they were awarded by Rs. 10,000/-, Rs. 8000/- and Rs. 5000/- respectively. The arrangement was nice and enjoyable to all of us. This national drive is helping to involve students and their parents to work for save water. |
