November 5, 2013 at Teatrikal Fakultas Saintek and green house Saintek,  Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of Yogyakarta, Water Forum @Kalijogo have a program named "Environmental Talkshow and Composting Training". We've invited 75 students from many universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia to attend this program. As for the theme of this programme is "I, you and we together protect our environment". This program aims to raise students (youth) awarness about the importance of protecting the environment.

There are two main activities in this program. First, environmental talkshow lead by Badan Lingkungan Hidup (BLH/Environmental Agency) Kota Yogyakarta. Second, composting training lead by Fadjar Basuki (Director of Community for Yogykarta).

In environmental talkshow, participants got course about local and global environmental issues. In this session, speaker presented a presentation ?Human Civilization and Environment?. What be main issues that delivered on those presentation are how human civilization created with the environment and how it was destructed the environment. One explanation that precentation took is about waste issue. As we know, human activities produce waste and it affect the environment where people live. Be side of those issue, participant also got how to face those issue through their daily activity, start from their self. An example, they can decrease plastic waste with decrease plastic using in their daily activities.

In composting training, participants got composting technique. In this session aim is how to manage organic waste to be useful thing. Also, this session is further training as a knowledge after participants got about environmental issues in talkshow. What is expected of this session is participants can apply their green knowledge to contribute on environmental issues solving around them start from their self.

What we have done through this program is real execution of our awareness about environmental issues. But, this is very small program. So, we need more action to join to solve environmental issue. Hopefully, with this small program we can build green society although start in small scale.
