Green Experience of Our Green Tour

by | 04-10-2013 08:18

Finally our tour is finished few days back providing an excellent opportunity to visit and learn about new place, people, biodiversity and conservation practices. This tour was very especial for me because it was my first ever visit to western Nepal. I had never visited western Nepal before.

In Bardia National park (BNP) I happened to see Rhinoceros, pugmarks of Royal Bengal tiger, huge heard of spotted deer, and experienced the wilderness during the jungle walk. I was surprised to see that the wild animals were very close to us during our stay in the park. It was very adventurous.

After finishing the programs of BNP, I went to see Chandni and Dodhara Bridge which is 1452.96m long and may be the longest bridge of Asia. I was quite excited while reaching there because this was the place I had seen in Television so many times.

After finishing the programs of Nepal, we travelled to India and visited Halwani and Dehradun of Uttarakhand. There, we observed scientific forest management system of Chorgaliya and lachhiwala and studied the nursery management of Uttarakhand.

We also visited Forest Research Institute (FRI) of Dehradun which is premier institute in the field of Indian forestry established in 1906. We gained lots of information from the six museums of FRI.

Finally, we concluded our study tour observing the first scientific forest management system of Nepal in Kapilbastu. The tour was very fruitful to enhance our creativity.
