![]() In the Sri Lankan hamlet of Indibedda near the Bologoda Lake lives 50 communities who used to cut down Mangroves for firewood and just to get a view of the lake. They also feared that mosquitoes would breed in any nooks that are present in the trees! After awareness and workshops as well as learning about how important Mangroves are, now they replant Mangroves and are also creating designer handicrafts that give an income help them with their daily needs.
