![]() I reported that the Sundarbans is now at danger earlier in my first ambassador report. Govt of Bangladesh decided to build power plant near Sundarbans (the largest mangrove forest in the world) at Rampal. You can read the report by clicking here. The National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports organised a long march from 24-28th September 2013. Hundreds joined this long march to save Sundarbans. "The proposed coal fired power plant will surely affect the ecosystem, environment and the climate of the Sundarbans.", said a participant of the long march Mr. Abdullah Al Kafi.
