Energy is an indispensable source of development. Worldwide billions of people have no access to reliable forms of energy. The Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme (or commonly called BIRU) is the initiative of Hivos and its partners in promoting access to modern and sustainable form of renewable energy for rural people.

Monday, August 26, 2013 was holding awarding event at the same time talk show entitled "Youth Voice in Renewable Energy: Act Now, It is Your Future".At the event held at the Ballroom of Hotel Harris, Jakarta. As Eco-UNEP Tunza Regional Ambassador, I was invited to speak with  representatives of Renewable Energy and Energy Convention (EBTKE), Ministry of Resources  Young Ashoka Changemakers, 2013, Adjie Wicaksana, and Founder AIKON and University Lecturer in Visual Communication Design Tarumanegara, Enrico Halim, when I speak to explains the importance of the role of young people in the campaign

After the talk and Q & A, the show continues to the announcement of the winner and the prize. On the outside exhibited a number of fixtures to use renewable energy. There turbines to capture wind and solar, stove, lights, and so on. 

The biogas technology usage directly contributes to improved living conditions in rural households especially for children and women. It also creates employment opportunities by opening up business ventures and sectors (ranging from suppliers to masons). Other benefits include time and cost effective methods such as the reduction of – unrenewable - firewood, and also of coal and fossil fuel use which has proven to be harmful for both the environment as well as people?s health biogas also promotes organic living through the use of – fully organic - bio-slurry which increases soil fertility resulting in higher agri- and horticultural yields affecting local economical growth. 

Through the talk shows and exhibitions, we are living in Indonesia should be aware that Indonesia has all the resources in renewable energy: wind, solar, water and  biogas energy.
