 few months ago i've joined this summer camp called as beachventure camp. it was held in peucang island, indonesia. it was a very beautiful beach, crystal clear water, white sands, lots of beautiful coral reef. one night, there was a rain, small rain but it affect the beach badly. because people in that island throw the trashes right across the beach so the rain washes the trashes and they float away to the crystal clear water. when my friends and i woke up and went to the beach it was all very messy, garbages were around us. we felt bad, so we started picking up the garbages and put it on the boat's dock. after we finished picking on the garbages the man from the island said thank you and take the garbage away, we thought he will throw the garbages to the right place but apparently, he didn't. he put the garbages just right across the beach like he used to. he didn't get it that the garbages will float away if he didn't throw it to the right place, and thats my countries problem, mostly. people still dont get how important saving environment is. |
