I Knew the Meaning of Green Urbanization after Visiting Delhi

by | 06-09-2013 01:17

Besides Ecogeneration, I?m also working as a student and youth ambassador of World Congress on Access to Post-Secondary Education. My primary duty is to promote for the access of post-secondary education in this platform.

In the early months of 2012, World Congress on Access to Post-Secondary Education had called application for its scholarship. I also applied for the scholarship and fortunately selected among the seven youths from around the globe to be honored by this scholarship.

The First World Congress on Access to Post- Secondary Education is going to be organized in Montreal city of Canada (during 7th-10th of October) whose host is European Access Network. As a World Congress Scholars? awardee, I have been invited to attend the first world congress with a promise that all my expenditure will be paid by the organizer.

Therefore, I had applied for the visa through VSF, Nepal in the first time.         Unfortunately, my application was rejected in the first time. The organizer suggested me to go to Canadian High Commission, Delhi telling me that they have sent a request letter to the visa officer.

Therefore, I went to Delhi to apply for the visa (but the decision of my application will be on 12th September).

When I was grounded at the Indiragandi International Airport, I went to have a journey for about one and half hour in metro. When I saw outside the windows of metro, really I was surprised. The buildings were not too tall as I was expecting. Buildings were small of ?storied and everywhere green trees were present. I visited different places in Delhi and found that there was greenery everywhere.       Chanakyapuri, where Canadian high commission was present was like a heaven. Really, I knew the meaning of green urbanization after visiting Delhi and I wish our country would be as greener as Delhi in near future.
