MDG Pledges mission is to inspire everyone to be part of the solution to end global poverty. A global problem needs global action. Whether you are an individual, company, or NGO, your pledge to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals can make the difference in our fight to a better world.

In 2010 recognizing that the MDGs will not be achieved by governments alone, the World Economic Forums community of Young Global leaders launched a Peoples Plan of Action to achieve the MDGs. This inspired the launch of MDG Pledges, an initiative for private individuals and organizations to make their own specific, time-bound, measurable commitments to help end extreme poverty, and to highlight and encourage the important contributions that all of us can make to combat extreme poverty.
A pledge is a commitment you make – as an individual or as part of a class, organization or corporation – to contribute in some way towards ending extreme poverty by 2015. You can choose which one of the eight MDGs you would like to focus on, and how you will go about taking this action, which can be anything from running a marathon to fundraise, blogging to raise awareness to inviting all of your employees to make a pledge of their own. It can be as simple or as ambitious as you like – every pledge counts and everyone has something to contribute.

So what are you waiting for-
