TV Show Programs

           Today, almost every house has a television. Even those who receive aid from the government have televisions for important reasons. Knowing this, many broadcasting companies make various programs. One of these programs in Korea is ?Ingan-uh-I Jo-Gun.? If you translate the title of the show, it would be ?the prerequisite of a human.? You might now be wondering why I am introducing a T.V show to you, but his program is a show that presents many eco-friendly things.

           This program?s structure is that the staff picks a subject for the actors who will live according to the subject at all costs for a week. Until now, the subjects have all been somehow related to the environment such as living with no electricity, making no waste, living without (using a minimum amount) water, and so on. I myself thought that I knew quite a lot of environmental facts. However, while watching this show, I learnt a lot of new facts, especially about what we can do in our everyday life to live more ?green.?

           There are other ways apart from directly showing this knowledge to us. For example, I was in an expedition in Africa by being one of the elite members in our whole group. Our expedition was filmed and was broadcasted in one of the main channels in Korea called SBS. Through this, we showed various places of Africa such as the Kilimanjaro and even national parks that exists in Kenya and Tanzania. We showed the wonders that exist in those places and also how the climate change is affecting that beautiful place that seems so isolated from civilization.

           Like this, using a very popular media is a good way in advertising to the people about our thoughts about the environment. I am planning on asking one of the broadcasting centers to film a forum that my group is going to organize.
