Peru is situated in south America, although not is a big country, is considered one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. Bordered by countries equally rich in biodiversity such as Brazil, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia and in general all the Latin American, Caribbean, Asian, European, Africans have a wealth of biodiversity, and culture.

Peru, like many countries , has a lot of ethnic and Andean communities that left us a great legacy with many traditions, including the love of nature,  they have survived long in peace and harmony with all that surrounds us .

But at present we are forgetting that, we spend much time on different things that we neglect our connection with nature.

We generate a lot of pollution due to consumerism and spend much of our life in the city, far from returning to have that bond with nature as people had in antiquity.

However, one thing in common in the communities inhabiting the jungles of Peru, we can highlight the love to mother nature, daily gratitude  for the food it  provides. For these peoples, respect for life, is the main value and is the most sacred. Greed and accumulation of wealth, are behaviors that do not fit in their worldview of life.

They live in forests, being away from urbanization, and his fate is linked to the fragility of these forests.

Unfortunately most of the indigenous peoples of the Amazon have been seen their   territory  decreasing  after  invasions successive, expulsions and usurpations at the hands of governments, logging companies, big agriculture and plantations. The Contact with settlers, gold miners and other workers, who often operate illegally, has caused continuing epidemics of diseases to which indigenous peoples have no immunity. Many communities have been devastated, because they depend on the forest to live they extracted food, shelter, tools and medicine. All reasonably, they do not extract more than they need to live and  for that reason hardly alter its ecosystem. Forests also play a crucial role in their culture and religious beliefs.

Therefore it is important to respect it,  all countries should have law that ensure that nobody would invade their territories and they could live in peace.  They have much to teach us, for example in the use of medicinal plants form, as it is true that many of the plants have healing properties, furthermore well learn more from them about the way we live, not to consume more than we need, and above all respect nature and be thankful for all that it brings.
