I being the chairperson of Green Globe celebrated it's first celebration of Indian Independence Day with great pomp and grandeur at one of the Government schools in Tamil Nadu, India. 

We organized a school function there. The students performed many cultural activities like singing, dressing up, speaking etc.The did it so well and it was fun to see them performing. It was wonderful to see the boys from such remote places had such talent. 

Green Globe distributed pens, sponsored gifts for the winners and food. They were really happy on receiving such gifts.

 I also gave a speech about the environmental issues and about non smoking to the students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. We also planted many trees througout the school and cut a cake celebrating our independence.
