Green School is a solution that should be applied in the fight against global warming, such as that conducted by SMA Negeri 13 Medan. Realizing the importance of trees for the balance of nature, the environment-based education is the theme in the teaching and learning process, in which the subjects of local content, providing school materials Organic Waste into Compost, Gardening and Planting Trees in the School Environment. Large trees and shady left and became the hallmark of SMA Negeri 13 Medan, where shelter and rest, called the House of Representatives (Leafy trees Below). Tree Planting is done in the neighborhood, began in 2010 and now the trees have shade and provide beauty at SMA Negeri 13 Medan environment.
