Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar Muslim worldwide observe this as a month of fasting.  Every day during Ramadan, Muslim fast from dawn to sunset, avoiding food, drink and bad attitudes.

The end of Ramadan (the day after tomorrow) is marked by festival of 'Id al-Fitr or Lebaran. At the beginning of this festival, the whole community gathers at an outdoor prayer area to perform the Id prayer. In Indonesia, this is the time when Muslims visit their family and friends to ask for forgiveness for any wrongs they have committed in the previous year. They express this wish in the phrase "Mohon Maaf Lahir Batin" which means "forgive me from the bottom of my heart/soul for my wrongdoings in the past year".

As Tunza Eco Ambassador , for me, is not only a festival month for Muslims it is not just a month where one should refrain from food, water and bad attitudes only, but it is a month when a Muslim should pay attention to the real meanings and values of fasting during this holy month. It is an integral part of the religious practices of Ramadan to care about environment and protect the Earth?s precious natural resources.

We must translate the great teachings of Islam, especially during the month of Ramadan, into serious and practical steps to address the challenges that are facing our world — like poverty, hunger especially environmental problems. For one month every year, to care about our environment, the earth, animals and our health, practice positive and healthy habits, to make a positive impact and make a difference, isn't it?

Finally....  Happy Eid Mubarak....:)
